After having gone live on our Joomla site a week ago with sh404SEF in place, I thought I had everything working until I noticed the problems today.
The page in question is at
http://www.chilton.k12.wi.us/index.php/component/option,com_thyme/Itemid,71/.
When Joomla Studio has Search engine friendly URLS turned off... the prev/next month icons in both the mini-month module and calendar content would only change the month as long as I never left the default calendar (-Chilton Public Schools-). I can change the day and I can force a new month if I select the GO button.
If I turn on the Search engine friendly URLS in Joomla Studio (which its presently set at), the prev/next Month icons along with the GO button will change the month for any calendar, but the day numbers in both the mini-month and calendar content cause 404 errors. What I've noticed is that the index.php is missing in the URL
For example... a day link produces
Code:
http://www.chilton.k12.wi.us/component/option,com_thyme/calendar,8/category,0/d,14/m,7/y,2008/Itemid,71/v,d
which causes the 404 error.
If it was this...
Code:
http://www.chilton.k12.wi.us/index.php/component/option,com_thyme/calendar,8/category,0/d,14/m,7/y,2008/Itemid,71/v,d
then the page came up.
I believe adding the index.php is my best option, but I'm not sure where I should hack for both the mini-month and calendar content.
It may be helpful to note that in both cases,.when I click on the prev/next icons or my month/week/tab, it tacks onto (not replaces) the URL. By clicking the GO button, it resets itself to the much shorter SEF.
I tried turning off the SEF for Thyme pages only in sh404SED, but this actually caused a more significant headache as my (specially-hacked) Event List would not show up unless I hit the GO button. So I would like to avoid that if possible.
I really could use your assistance once again. So thanks in advance. |
