I would like to change the date format in events to j/n -y

In the event list you should be able to do this but when I put in this date format in Date Template/Date format it still shows the standard output from $date, should I use something else to fetch the date with my preferred output?

I would also like this to apply to all events viewings if that is possible?

In an event list that I have on my first page. But I would like to have it all through my site (since in Sweden we normally write dates dd/mm/yy or d/m -yy

I will send you the url privately, since my site isn't finished yet and will be moved when it is I prefer not to communicate the address.

Hi,

In this one, open up the event list component and change the date format on the Event Template tab. You will want to do this for your event view component as well. To change it for Thyme (not as viewed through Joomla), you can change the date format in include/languages/sv_SE.php the same way you changed some of the translations. Search for _DATE_INT_

Let me know if this doesn't resolve it.

Hi,
thank you for your reply.

I did already change the date format in the Date template tab of the event list but without any effect.
I did change the date format for the single event (which I didn't do before) and that came through like it should. I also changed the date format in the language file. The event list keeps having the wrong format though.

Is there anything else I should do?

Hi,

Please note that I said Event Template tab of the event list rather than the Date Template tab.

Let me know if this doesn't work.

Ian,
I'm sorry, my mistake! Now when I changed the right tab it worked perfectly.

It would be perfect if I could also get rid of the comma after the date. In which file can I change that?

Thank you for your patience!

Hi,

That's probably in the Event template after the template variable $date. Can you see if there is a comma there please?

You are absolutely right. Thank you, the product in itself is great and with the excellent support it's definitely a winner!
