How can I show the upcoming events in a Joomla module?
See the below website's example:
http://www.crwpc.org/
I have the latest update of joomla studio 1.5, and I would like to have a module using Joomla 1.5.
The thyme calendar is wrapped, but I can't make the module work
Please I would appreciate an answer. At least I believe is what I deserved for buying this product. BTW The online Documentation does not seem updated to follow the steps to do it with Joomla 1.5.
Thanks,
David |

Hi David,
The first part of Creating a Component documentation describes creating an event list. On the general tab of your event list, change the setting to list Upcoming events. From there you can go on to creating a page, displaying your page, and creating a Joomla module.
Let me know if you have any questions / trouble at all. |

Hi,
Did you activate the module and give it a position in Joomla's administration?
It is recommended that you use either wrapped Thyme or Joomla Studio, but not both. It looks like in the web site you posted they are using Thyme wrapped with the JavaScript event list as a module. Though I'm not sure the exact steps they took to do this since the JavaScript event list is not a Joomla module. |

Ian,
I tried to integrate thyme in Joomla 1.5 and have not luck. I've been working with this issue for almost two months. I'm tired and sick of it. I don't get it. It frustrates me. Firstly, because I'm not a website guru, and secondly because I don't have the php knowledge to take advantage of this piece of software. SO... WHAT IS IT WORKING FOR ME?????
1. I wrapped thyme calendar, and it works fine.
2. I like that I have access to the front end.
WHAT I HAVE INSTALLED...
1. You installed the trial version for me. Thanks. I bought the product and the key number is already updated.
2. Joomla Studio 1.5 (updated)
3. Thyme Joomla Component.
WHAT IS MISSING...
1. A trick or a complete guide of how to make the upcoming events work in a joomla module. Thyme Calendar is wrapped.
2. An updated guide of thyme calendar for joomla 1.5.x users.
Ian,
Please be honest and let me know if there is hope for me to fix this issue soon.
I appreciate your answers.
David Mtz
p.s. I'm the one trying to design the website, and my host company installed joomla 1.5. for me. |

Hi,
Can you send me a private message (click on the "PM" icon under this post) containing the admin username / password and URL to both Thyme and Joomla please (if they are different)? I will implement this for you.
Thank you |

I made quite a few mistakes with Joomla 1.5 Studio when I started creating an upcoming module, including trying to get Joomla 1.0 Studio working and not haveing a default page set.
Following the instructions EXACTLY will get you there in the end. |
