Working with Ian some time ago, a new Guest Subscriptions module was developed. It has more features than the current Module. For example, you can create headers and footers for your subscription mailing. You can specify more options for frequency, and you can send yourself or others a mailing instantly.

Here's how I use it: I actually have the self-subscription unavailable and control the list of "subscriber" emails myself using the Modules admin panel. My list of emails there are sent to my list-server, which then relays my calendar updates to everyone. I have found that a dedicated list-server is a better option (I use a free version of L-Soft). |
