RSS feeds are not available for import into a calendar, but they can be displayed on Thyme's navigation bar. Is this what you want?

Ideally I wanted to populate the calendar - so like a one way sync with other data.

If that cant be done then a feed from the other source would be good, but I dont have an RSS feed screen unde admin.

Hi smiffy,

Did you setup the cron job during Thyme's installation? If you chose to skip this step, the RSS modules icon in Thyme's admin panel will not be available. I can help you set this up if you wish. Are you using a hosting provider? Do they have a cron or scheduled tasks section in your web site's control panel?

Hi,

Ive not set up any cron jobs as I'm not allowed that level of access to the shared server. So I would have skipped that step.

I did email my hosts tech support and cron jobs are not supported. Sad

Is there a work around for this?

Hi smiffy,

The only way I can see is to:

*) Tell Thyme you've set the job to run even though you haven't. In Admin -> Site Settings -> Scheduled task. Change it to anything except "The task is not scheduled to run.."

*) That should give you the RSS feed section in the admin panel. There you can add your RSS feed. The only thing is that you will have to manually update this feed by clicking Update Now. There will be no automatic updates without the cron job.

Let me know if you have any questions.
