Hi:

I want to be able to set reminders for events in either the event form or when someone clicks on an event in the calendar. Is this possible? This functionality is critical to my client.

Also can I do an event view in joomla like the one within thyme ? Here is the link to the image of what I am talking about: http://www.flickr.com/photos/23143441@N02/

Thanks in advance

Hi,

To use event reminders you will have to wrap Thyme. Reminders are not available through Thyme's Joomla Studio. This will also get you the event view that you want.

Let me know if you have any questions at all.

Hi:

It looks like I'm probably going to go with wrapping thyme. One question though:

When you wrap thyme does it still synchronize the joomla site members? Or do you have to hand add them to Thyme? Sorry it has been a number of months since I installed Thyme.

Thanks

Yep - wrapped thyme will see / use Joomla's users as long as you install this:

.. assuming Joomla 1.0.x

I have already wrapped Thyme and am still using the Joomla Studio for the views. The setup is ideal for my site since only management people post to the calendars and need reminders.

Great product! The additional wrapper was painless. Fortunately I had already installed the authentication module.

OK are you saying you have one component menu link hitting your componet thyme -- and another one on the same URL using a wrapper -- and it's from the wrapped version that you send reminders?

Is this possible? so two versions fo the same informationn just notifications will work? reminders I mean ----------

OR do I have to NOT use Joomla Studio to make reminders work?

Hi Jim,

I can not speak for what she has set up, but you must use Thyme wrapped in order to have event reminders.

Hi Jim,

You can do this without screwing anything up.
