Hi tlavalle,
Have you read the Joomla Studio documentation? You should not have to put the code anywhere. How would you like this to work? Do you want to click on a menu link and have a calendar displayed in Joomla?
Let me know. |

Ian, I would like it to be part of the site, not in a wrapper and editable for the staff. It is a great piece of work. Once i get this configured the way i need it i can show it to hoigher powers so i can get a license. but i digress, yea i just need it to show on a link from main menu.
I have the component installed. and so i go comp->thyme -> admin
so this brings me to the admin page i click on the calender publisher do all the stuff i like to see. but nothing.
is there something i am doing wrong? |

Hi tlavalle,
Unfortunately, you may only add / edit events when using Thyme wrapped. Instructions for wrapping Thyme can be found at: http://www.extrosoft.com/option,com_forum/Itemid,47/page,viewtopic/t,413/
The calendar publisher is for embedding calendars into PHP sites; ignore that. Joomla Studio is for embedding calendars into Joomla. It would be great if you could read the documentation for Joomla Studio here.
There are just too many steps that are already listed in the docs. After reading them, let me know if you have any questions and I will be more than happy to answer them. |

I have read them. I went into studio and create a project dl the com_thyme, then i created the view components, and the page. from there i uploaded the mod_calendar. not here is where i get confused. I configure the module, then go to joomla to create a menu item and when i click on the date to add an event it shows to calendars not what i wouls expect to submit the event to get approved.
the only component i have when in joomla studio was the monthly view which is all i really need. |

Hi tlavalle,
Events can not be added when using Joomla Studio. You may only add / edit events when using Thyme wrapped. I believe this is what you are trying to accomplish. Is this correct? |

Hi tlavalle,
Answer 1: What ever width looks the best in your site? Maybe I don't understand the question.
Answer 2: What setting is the setting? Do you mean Options at Thyme's footer? If you want to make these default for the site, you can go to Admin -> Default Options. Additionally, you may force all users to use these options in Admin -> Site Settings -> Misc.
Let me know if you have any questions. |

ok width i can play with.
here is what i am looking at. Once i login as admin and go to admin control panel.
I see site settings, installer, users, groups, default options, calendar publisher, joomla studio, calendars and rss feed.
where i go is calendar publisher
I set general click update
in style editor i select sleek then click update
then it is off to header where i edit header text and show header links
click update
then off to month views where i uncheck show week numbers and check exclude days not in month click update
so then what do i do so that work is save and the calendar stays like that.
sorry for really bugging you |

No worries. The calendar publisher is for embedding a calendar in a PHP page. You may ignore that. You aren't embedding a calendar in a page, you are using Thyme wrapped.
There are similar options for these in Admin -> Default Options. Please use that instead. You'll probably also want to use the "Force default options for all users" in Admin -> Site Settings -> Misc.
Let me know if you have any trouble. |

| Please elaborate. Is it not saving the default options portion or the "Force default options for all users" part? By "not saving", do you mean the settings do not appear to be applied or when you go back into the part where you save the settings, they are back to their original values? Have you changed the default options but forgotten to set the "force default options for all .." option? |
