|

Once I log in as administrator, the system has forgetten I have administrative privileges.
I went to "Log-In" at the bottom of the calendar, entered the correct name and password, and the calendar reloads with administrator options across the bottom.
When I click on any option, I'm taken to the administrator log-in again. Or, if I click on a date to add an item, I get the message first reminding me the entry will be reviewed by an administrator for approval. |

Ted,
It sounds like the session cookie is not being set. Do you have cookies enabled in your browser? |

|

| Here's the odd thing... It worked earlier yesterday afternoon, when I approved an event someone created. Less than an hour later, when I revisited the calendar to add some of my own events, Administrator did not work. Same computer within an hour. I figured Windows got flaky so I rebooted the computer, but that didn't solve the problem. Can a cookie become corrupted? How would I remove it so it'll be replaced? |

I guess it's possible. What browser are you using? Is there anything else I should know? Are you using an authentication module? Are you still logged in when this happens or do you see the login link at the bottom?
If you are using an auth module, it is possible that your Role accidentally got set to Normal user in Thyme while the auth module says you are an admin. If you have another admin login you may log in with it set your Role back to Super User. Otherwise I'll come up with something.
Let me know. |

I'm using Internet Explorer 6. I didn't try other browsers but I could see if those work, when I get in to work this afternoon.
I'm not sure how my role could've been switched since I'm the only one (besides you) who knows how to log in and use the Administrator. If it got changed somehow, I'm in a bit of a pickle. |

I took a look and saw that you are not using the authentication module, so the Role switch is not the case. I no longer have the message with your site login. Would you mind sending it to me again please?
You can check the cookie settings in IE in Tools -> Internet Options -> Privacy
Also, would you mind answering this please: Are you still logged in when this happens or do you see the login link at the bottom? |

I'll email the log-in information to you.
If I go to the calendar, there are only two options at the bottom including "log-in."
When I click that to log in as Administrator, I see all the Administrator options listed across the bottom of the calendar, but clicking on them only takes me back to the admin log-in.
I will check the cookies when I get in to work. Thanks for your time on this. |

Hi Ted,
I am able to log in as admin and navigate anywhere (still as admin) in Thyme. So I'm thinking this is definitely a cookie problem in your IE. |
