I see you list several CMSs that will work with Thyme. I also see you have a forum dedicated to Joomla and Mambo.

I have some experience with PostNuke but no others. Postnuke was not as simple as I would have liked it to be, especially when it came to customized themes.

So my question is, out of all the CMSs that work with Thyme, which would you recommend the most? I'm guess Joomla or Mambo since you have dedicated forums for them?

Any and all information would be greatly appreciated. ....Thyme will be the most important application on my website.

Thx,
DM

I'd have to go with Joomla, by far.

I'm taking your advice and reading up on Joomla right now! Thanks!

As I understand, when Joomla is installed, my users will be able to register through Joomla on their own and then be able to add events to Thyme without any assistance from the Admin. Is there any work to make Joomla and Thyme seamless?

Yes. You'll have to download and install the auth module for Joomla / Mambo here:

http://www.extrosoft.com/Modules/Authentication/Mambo_%10_Joomla_Authentication/

Then you can use Joomla's Wrapper feature to add Thyme.

To use Joomla's wrapper:

1) Log into Joomla's administration section

2) Click on Menu (at the top), then select the menu where you want the calendar link to appear. This is most likely called 'mainmenu'

3) Click on the New icon in the upper right

4) Select Wrapper under the Miscellaneous section and click Next

5) For name, enter the name that you want to appear on the menu item. 'Calendar' would do. In Wrapper Link, enter the URL to Thyme. Under Parameters on the right, select 'Yes' for Auto Height. Click 'Save'

You now have a menu item called Calendar that will bring up Thyme.
