Hi

I created a thyme project but I cannot download the Thyme Joomla Component. When I click on the link "Download Thyme Joomla Component", I get:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function gzdeflate() in /usr/local/apache2/htdocs/thyme/thyme-1.3-zend/include/classes/class.ziplib.php on line 48

Please help.

Thanks!

Hi min,

You are going to need to enable PHP's zlib functions. This may involve anything from uncommenting a line in php.ini to recompliling PHP.

What OS does your web server run? Did you download and compile PHP or did it come with the OS?

Hi Ian,

I downloaded and compiled PHP. The webserver runs on a Debian 2.6.

Hi min,

Good choice on Debian Smile .. When you run ./configure, add --with-zlib, then make, make install .. etc.. or what ever your normal process is on your system.

Let me know if this is not clear.

Oh.. and if it says it can't find zlib, run:

apt-get install zlib1g
apt-get install zlib1g-dev

Then run configure again.
