One other question..
I have lots of calendars (about 200).
These brought together under a number of 'views' - but I can not understand where the order is coming from. It is not alphabetical by event, not by start or end date - it seems random, but I suspect this is not the case. I am interested to know so that I can set the order by alphabet, or date.
Once again - thanks

| It should go by start time then by category name. |

Is there any reason why it might not..?
I have for example (day view)
31 May - end 1 July
24 May - end 18 June
17 May - end 20 June
3 May - end 10 June
24 May - end 16 July
4 May - end 29 July
2 June - end 23 July
These are all seperate calendars brought together under a view.
Calendar names staring with the following:
Rach
Rock
Roke
Seve
Pump
Pesc
Maur |

| Ahh.. start time, not start date. For each day they are sorted by start time, then category name. |

Ahh...so these are 'all day' events.
Is there any way to sort either by alphabet (event organiszer) or by start date? |

Not inherently. I could do it for you since the file where this modification would be made is encoded. Are you using the Zend or IonCube encoded version of Thyme? Also, here's what I would do:
Events would be sorted by:
1) Start Time - then
2) Start Date - then
3) Organizer's Name
So uhh.. if that isn't what you want speak up |

Thank-you for the offer.
Using Zend
I think in the context of what the calendar is
Organizer
Date
Time
but perhaps this makes things tricky? |

| Just thought of something. All day events will have to come first or it will mess up the day view. Other than that, this can be pretty easily done. All of the all day events will be sorted as you specified though. |

That sounds perfect.
And then presumably if there is a time based event these will on the day view appear by time / organizer |

I'm not sure what you mean. It tuns out that in the day view the events must be sorted by time. So I left that alone. All others should be sorted as you described. Try it out and let me know if it's what you wanted:
http://www.extrosoft.com/products/thyme/updates/1.3/class.event_matrix-sort.dat
Rename to class.event_matrix.php and upload over your existing one in include/classes. |
