Hi,

This may have been covered elsewhere, but I am sorry I could not locate it.

For the trial version of the calendar I have installed, I need to create a few (about three) user accounts, by which I mean that these will be the only people who will have access (authority )to post, delete, and edit calendar entries. However, they will not have full admin rights (such as changing Options and all settings associated with the Layout of the calendar. These accounts should have some kind of password (or useris and password) to be able to gain access.

All visitors (anonymous) to the web page, though, should be able to read what is posted there.

How can I do this?

Thanks,

~ JC ~

Hi Java,

Create the users with a role of 'Normal'. Add them to the calendar's members list in Admin -> Calendars -> (click edit for the calendar you want to edit) -> Members tab. Set their access level to Normal. This will allow them to post events. Then on the General tab, uncheck 'Strict event security'. This will allow all Normal members to edit / post / delete all events on that calendar.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you for the quick response.

I added a Normal user. Now, I am sorry to have to ask you this. But, where do I find the "General" tab? Under what menu options?

Thanks,

~ JC ~

EDIT: The Site Settings > General does not list any such chekbox.

Hi Java,

The Members and General tabs are in Admin -> Calendars -> (click edit for the calendar you wish to edit).
