No, I'm sorry. If an event repeats you will see each instance of it for the time period specified in the event list.

Is there a way to show upcoming events (next week) instead of events that are happening right now?

Hrmm.. no Sad But describe how you would like this to work and I'll see what I can do about getting it added in. For instance, would you like a List events in "next week" option? Would this start 7 days from today or 7 days from the day that this week started (Monday)?

I think seven days is enough time.

I just think it would be better to show upcoming events so that people have enough time to attend the event, instead of showing them something that is going on right now, and probably to late for them to attend. Thanks for your help.

I installed it, and now it is displaying past events.

Set it to display events starting "This week" then choose the "Exclude past events" option.
