I'm trying to integrate the calendar into a custom php app for someone. I've used the generic mysql module for logging in, but I was wondering if it is possible to also have the authorization levels set in this other table. So the calendar would query this other table, see if an authorization exists for the current user, and then allow/disallow functions as appropriate.

Is this possible, or will I have to create groups and sync the Thyme and custom tables?

Hi bjensen14,

This is possible. It is done in some of the other authentication modules. I could modify the MySQL module to do the same. It was left out because there is no generic, catch-all way to specify a user as an admin. A few questions before I do ..

This can only be used to designate site admins (super-users) and non-site admins. Is this what you want? Other access levels are set per calendar.

Do you have a field in the table that specifies which users are admin and which are not? How are you designating these? Column X >= Y? Column X = 'admin'? etc..

Thanks
