Equipment Reservations

I'm in charge of checking out A/V equipment to students at a small university and I'm looking for an online reservation system. I would like all 50 students to be able to go online, see what equipment is available at any given time, and reserve equipment for future dates.

Has anyone used Thyme to create such a system, or can it be done?

You might have do a little customization for this.

There is a function to submit event requests, so "reservation requests" could be represented as event requests. There's not a function for automatically checking for time conflicts, though, so the requests would need to be moderated. But, you can customize to add this functionality.

It's also going to partly dependent on how many equipment items you have. You could name the categories after the items, then provide a drop-down menu for the users to select the category / item. This would also allow the students to view schedules for specific items.
