hi all --
i'm trying to install this great software, and i'm stuck on the installation screen aroudn Database Configuration and Install Options:
Driver is MySQL
Host is localhost
Port is 80
Username is defaulted to thyme
Password is blank
Database Name is thyme
Table prefix is theme_
Install Options
I've checked Create Database, Create User.
I'm not sure what to put for the password in the Database Config section, or I'm not sure what Installation User and Installation Password to use for the Install Options section. Hence, all tests fail.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thank you!! |

Hi,
Firstly, you'll need your database username/password from your web hosting provider. They should be able to supply this. You may already have the ability to create databases along with usernames and passwords to them in your web host's control panel. If so, go ahead and create a database, username, and password.
In Thyme's installation, enter the database name, username, and password for your database. Leave Port blank. This is the port of your database server, not the web server. The default should be fine. Leaving it blank let's it use the default port. You can leave the table prefix at thyme_. Leave all Install Options blank.
If you have any questions regarding this, let me know. |
