Hi Ian,
In an earlier post I noticed you said it was best to use the Joomla database for Thyme so there's no switching back and forth. I followed the install instructions, I think, and ended up with a Joomla database and a Thyme database. Should I start over or change this? If so, how? I don't have any actual events in the database.
Thanks |

You can leave it if you really want to, but it's best in the long-run to have them in one database.
Probably the easiest thing to do is to delete /thyme/include/config.php and run the installer again (go to /thyme/index.php in your web browser. It should start the installer. If not, or if you deleted the install files, re-upload /thyme/install.php and the entire /thyme/INSTALL/ directory).
Make sure the fields in the advanced install section are all blank (you'll have to unhide it to confirm this). |

Thanks, Ian. For anyone in the same situation, I'll add some tips based on my experience:
1, Be sure you have saved your license key, because the new install will wipe it out from the settings page.
2. If the new install won't accept the license key, synchronizing the URL with the Joomla configuration will likely solve the problem. This should be done during the install, but can be corrected in the config.php file later.
3. Paying better attention to Ian's instructions for Joomla integration would have saved the time you are about to spend on the re-install. |
