Hell all.

Has anyone had any luck editing the titles of navbar components? For example I would like to change "Category" above the category dropdown box to read something else such as "Resources".

Thanks.

Hi,

You'd probably want to change something like that globally in Thyme. You can do this in the language file include/languages/en_US.php (assuming us english). Change instances of "category" with "resource"

Let me know if you have any questions or if this is not what you are looking to accomplish.

I did this on our web site to make the headers more informative/instructive but I didn't want the change to be universal across the program (e.g., "Filter by Location" as a header instead of "Locations", "Filter by Category" instead of "Category") because I didn't know where else it might appear.

If you know which module(s) you want to change, you can find it in the /modules/ subfolder (e.g., the Category box is under Event_Filter).

It's important to make a copy and rename a backup of any file you change (e.g., event_filter.php to event_filter.bak)

I don't have much (if any) experience reading PHP files but it was pretty easy to figure out where it was pulling the header text from the language file.

I don't know if this is true for all files but in event_filter the line was preceded by _CAL_CSS_HEADING_ followed by php echo(_FILTER_). Pretty easy to figure out.

I changed (_FILTER_) to ('Filter by Category') (note the single apostrophes at each end), saved the file, uploaded it as a binary file, and voila.

I hope this helps.
