Hi, I am sorry, this may seem like an elementary question. I am just beginning on setting up your application as a trial. I really like what I see and so I downloaded the trial version. I was trying to install the ioncube loader for Windows server in a directory in the current Thyme folder (calendar). That didn't work. I got this message below when I run the install.php (http://www.lemolobeach.com/calendar/install.php):

The file D:\hshome\bushnel0\lemolobeach.com\calendar\install.php has been encoded with the ionCube PHP Encoder and requires the free ioncube_loader_win_4.3.dll ionCube PHP Loader to be installed.

Where should the dll be located?

Hi wjb,

You should have an ioncube folder under thyme's folder with all the dlls you need. Don't forget that if you have access to install software on the computer where Thyme lives, the best option is to install Zend (very easy, gui based install). Then use the Zend encoded version of Thyme.

Let me know if you have any trouble.

OK, thanks for the tip. I ran http://www.lemolobeach.com/test_enc.php and it told me Zend failed so I choose ioncube version. I don't have access to install on the host. I moved the ioncube folder under "calendar," which is my folder where I placed Thyme. The ioncube helper (http://www.lemolobeach.com/calendar/ioncube/ioncube-loader-helper.php) showed this:
-------------------------
Testing Server
Testing whether your system supports run-time loading...

Looking for Loader 'ioncube_loader_win_4.3.dll'

Extensions Dir: C:\php\extensions (/php/extensions)
Relative Path: /../../hshome/bushnel0/lemolobeach.com/calendar/ioncube/

Results
Run-time loading should be possible on your system but no suitable Loader was found.

Instructions
The Windows Loader for PHP 4.3 releases is required.
Loaders can be downloaded from www.ioncube.com

The Windows Loader for PHP 4.3 (ioncube-loader_win_4.3.dll) is in the /calendar/ioncube/ folder. So I don't know why it can't find it.

I thinking I have to go onto my host and set something up there. I already turned on PHP for my domain. Is there anything else I need to do there on the server. I am very new to using PHP. This is the first PHP application I have tried using. Your help is appreciated.

Thanks for the suggestion, I moved the folder up one level and same results.

Hi Bill,

The only thing I can suggest is to ask your host to move ioncube_loader_win_4.3.dll to C:\php\extensions or have them install the Zend Optimizer. As a commercial host, they should have the Zend Optimizer installed as most commercial PHP software is encoded with the Zend encoder.

Ian,

I've been looking for a new host, I think it's time to move. Thanks I'll try again when I get my site on a different server.
