Hello,

Is there a way so that when the user clicks on the item in the calendar that it takes them to a new pre-defined page? Say, maybe it would take them to the url specified in the url field in the thyme_Events database?

Thanks,
Justin

Do you mean to a page other than the single-event detail listing?

You'd have to customize for that. It would involve changing the calendar display files and possibly adding a custom field to indicate whether or not to use the URL field for that particular event.

If you want details, let us know.

Yes. Instead of having the event details pop-up, we would liketo be taken to a new page.

You'd have to customize for that. It would involve changing the calendar display files and possibly adding a custom field to indicate whether or not to use the URL field for that particular event.

They want the ability to always be taken to a new page and not show the event details, so I think a custom field would not be necessary. It needs to be a dynamic page, and the url field in the thyme_Events table is unused, so we were thinking to make it easier we could just use that.

thanks again in advance!

I don't think we would need a custom field, being as they always want to be taken to the new page and never see the event details again. The url field in the thyme_Events table is not being used, so this may be an ideal place to stuff the dynamic url.

Yes, please. And thanks in advance.

Sorry, I'm not sure I understand yet: Do you simply want to change the detail page to another one, say a page that displays the event data differently from the stock detail page but still displays all the events using the same template?

Or want each event link to go to a page that's entirely unrelated to the other link destinations (like an external URL)? If this is what you want, which views do you need it on (daily, weekly, monthly)?

This one. The calendar is used now so that when you click on any already-created event in the calendar, a pop-up is generated showing the event details. We would like to change it so when you click on the title in the calendar, your are brought to a new page. This new page is an external site not related to the calendar. Ideally, we would like to have this functionality incorporated into all the views - day, week, month, year, events.

For instance, when I view the index.php page and the view is the month, I see color coded events. We want to be able to click on an already created event in the calendar and be taken to an external website non-related to the calendar. I hope this clears things up, but if not I can post pictures if needed. This calendar resides on an internal website so I cannot direct you anywhere.

And I apologize for the double post and thank you again.

Hi Justin,

I'm sorry, but there is no option for this in Thyme. You could do this with some PHP coding if you are interested in going that route.
