Dear All,

I have both problems with mail method : PHP's mail function or local mailer.

Using PHP mail function:
-> sending myself in the pop-up window an event in format HTML mail, returns: Error!: Could not instantiate mail function.
-> sending the same event in txt format is ok !
-> using user_registration module is OK!

and at the right specified hour:minute, the event is well sent by cron.

Using local mailer (sendmail) : I do not reveive events , I mail myself using the pop-up window, neiter user_registration confirmation mail.
But doing in Unix Shell a : sendmail myname@myserver.com (or so) delivers the mail. (sendmail is ok)

Any idea?
How can't I solve the problem with the "Error!: Could not instantiate mail function", as the PHP MAIL Function is the best solution ?
(I guess the HTML mail before sending is wrongly formed)

Thx for help
Hervé

Hrmm... I wonder if php.ini is set up with the wrong path to sendmail. Or it could be that the user that the web server runs as does not have permission to run sendmail. Would you mind sending me a private message containing the URL and admin password to Thyme please?
