Hi,
Just joined this forum - have to say, been using Thyme for 6 months now and it is a highly valued asset to our community web-site....thanks.

I have noticed though when looking at my web stats, Thyme is getting 90k hits per month compared to 3k average over the rest of the site. I am a bit worried that this may effect traffic quotas to the site as well as busy the server. Has anyone experienced this on their sites with Thyme? Is there anything that can be done? I have in the index.html meta tag to allow robots, would this be why?

Thanks in advance

Adam

Hi,

Yes, that is probably why. Since Thyme's links can generate dates from Jan 1, 0 A.D. to Dec 31 , 9999 A.D.. What you can do is create a robots.txt file in the root of your web site that has the following contents:

Code:
User-agent: *
Disallow: /events/thyme/

Let me know if you have any questions / trouble.

Ian,

Thanks for the reply, I'll try that tonight, give it a week and see what effect it has.

Thanks again

Adam
